Characteristics and application:
     Meltblown nonwoven is a kind of white,soft non-paper non-woven fabric.With PP polypropylene as the main raw material, the fiber diameter is made between a few microns and a dozen microns by Melt-blown technology. Because the fibers are so thin and disordered, it has the characteristic of three-dimensional porosity, large surface area, small aperture, high porosity,flexible structure,efficient modeling and low resistance.

     Meltblown nonwoven has a good ability to capture fine particles in the air such as fine dust and bacteria. Melt blown nonwoven is an excellent fiber filter material and is commonly used as a filter component in a varity of medium to high efficiency filters, such as maskes, air filters, oil-absorbent cotton and wipes.

     Meltblown nonwoven plays the role of isolationand filtration in the mask, protecting the human body from the invasion of dust, bacteria and viruses,reduing a variety of infections, effective protection and human health.

How to produce melt-blown cloth that meet the standards? The melt-blown cloth does not look special, but the production process is very complicated. Its production process can be summarized into three major links: first, naphtha is extracted from petroleum, then chemically processed into polypropylene, and finally melt-blown. Here mainly introduces the last link. Both selection of raw materials and production process are important.

Polypropylene is easy to form filaments, and when the melt flow index is high (MFI≥1500g /10min), it can become quite fine fibers (diameter 2 ~ 3μm). Although the gap of the melt-blown cloth produced is much larger than the size of the new  (about 0.1 μm), its ability to filter viruses in the environment is still very strong.

Because the virus cannot exist independently, its transmission route mainly includes secretions and droplets when sneezing, the size of the droplets is about 5μm; Melt-blown cloth is essentially a fiber filter. When the droplets containing the virus are close to the melt-blown cloth, they will also be electrostatically adsorbed on the surface and cannot penetrate.
